Senior Project Manager

Raquel joined the Government Resource Center in May of 2021 and brings over 10 years of experience in community engagement, public and non-profit organizations. She has worked on both research and quality improvement projects at the GRC, and her current projects include the Infant Mortality Research Partnership, the OHIO EQUITY INSTITUTE EVALUATION, and the Quality Improvement Data Support Project.

Before joining the GRC, Raquel worked as the Program manager to the Community Connector Corps, Community Health WorkerProgram at CelebrateOne,City of Columbus, Mayor’s Office., which aims to reduce infant mortality by connecting expecting and parenting families to needed resources for a healthy pregnancy and babies first year. As program manager she was responsible for developing and managing the CelebrateOne’s Community Connector Corps -Community Health Worker Program and engaged community partners to achieve the goal of improving families access to resources and health care.

Prior to this work she worked at Community Development for All People as the Community Engagement Coordinator, managing the First Birthday Program. In this role she coordinated community engagement efforts communicating infant mortality prevention and education, home visits to arrange appropriate care or resources to families and data collection that informed program development.

Raquel has a Bachelor of Arts, English Literature from Denison University.
