Opioid Analytics Project Awardees

On behalf of the Ohio Departments of Medicaid and Higher Education, GRC is excited to announce the Ohio Opioid Analytics Project that awards over $1.7M to three multidisciplinary Opioid Analytics Teams (OATs) from across six universities in Ohio.  The teams will work with state agency subject matter experts to research critical opioid priority areas: Prevention, Child Welfare, and Treatment.

GRC will assist ODM and ODHE to engage leading content experts who will develop and implement analytic strategies for the purpose of identifying high risk groups and potentially modifiable factors related to critical opioid endpoints, such as opioid use disorder, neonatal abstinence syndrome, medication-assisted treatment, and unintentional overdose death. Advanced data analytic strategies such as geospatial analysis and artificial neural networking will be used to provide insight into regional and sub-regional factors to increase the accuracy of predictions related to opioid endpoints.
