Call for 2018 Student Proposals

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on May 24, 2018 - 9:24 am

Are you currently a graduate student with research or work that uses Stata's statistical software to run analyses or graphics? Do you currently advise graduate students using Stata? The 2018 Scientific Committee invites proposals from graduate students to showcase their thesis, dissertation, or primary research interests and products at the upcoming Stata Conference in Columbus, Ohio on July 19-20, 2018. Any proposal topic is acceptable, however, Stata should be a part of the analytical tool used.

Graduate Student Poster Session

The poster submission should address topical and methodological interests relative to the student's research. Students will answer questions from attendees and a panel of judges who will rank the posters.

Graduate Student Presentations

Six to seven students will be selected for presentations. Students will be given 10 minutes to present on their topic of interest, brief literature review, brief methods review, and cursory or completed study findings. The presentation will be followed by audience questions and discussion.

Submission Instructions

To submit a presentation or poster proposal, please complete the proposal form by June 15, 2018, 5:00pm EST. Proposals received after this date will not be considered. Emailed submissions or submissions in any other format will not be accepted.

Fees for the conference will be waived for students selected for the poster session or presentation.
