Adaptive Exercises Kick Backs Lindsey Mullis: Kick backs are an excellent exercise to stretch out the front of your leg muscles, your quads there, as well as start to get your heart rate up or as part of your cool down if you’re trying to cool down. Clark and Amy here are doing their kick backs together. As you can see, Clark is moving his legs, kind of doing leg lifts, and he’s also moving his arms a little bit, working out his entire body with his kick backs. While Amy is doing the same thing, kicking her legs back like she is trying to touch her bottom with her feet. Now she’s got her arms going, really working on getting her heart rate up here. Her and Clark are exercising and doing their kick backs together. Elizabeth: Sabrina is showing how kick backs can be very aerobic by utilizing her arms. And Jamise is demonstrating that even the littlest bit of movement counts as exercise or physical activity, and is good for your health. Lindsey: Not to mention they’re having a good time! Alena is joining in on the kick back fun by using her upper body to move her lower body, working on that upper body strength and actually working on lifting those legs is getting her heart rate up and is a great aerobic activity.
