Dionna Herbert, SHRM-CP
Dionna Herbert, SHRM-CP, joined the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) in April 2026 as a Business Operations Senior Consultant. With more than 20 years of experience in human resources and business operations, she specializes in workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness, and leadership support. Her work bridges administrative operations and people-centered practices to help organizations navigate change, develop talent, and strengthen organizational outcomes.
At GRC, Dionna leads and supports initiatives related to workforce planning, business operations, leadership support, and organizational development. Her work focuses on improving processes, enhancing the employee experience, and helping leaders navigate operational and workforce challenges within a complex healthcare and academic environment.
Prior to joining GRC, Dionna served in senior leadership and human resources roles across higher education, state government, and international industry. Throughout her career, she has led large-scale initiatives focused on workforce strategy, operational excellence, process improvement, and change management. Her accomplishments include developing technology-enabled asset management systems, leading workforce integration efforts during a multinational corporate merger, modernizing compensation and onboarding programs, improving administrative operations, and partnering with executive leaders and policymakers to advance organizational effectiveness and institutional success.
Dionna earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing and holds both SHRM-CP and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certifications. She currently serves as an elected member of the Groveport Madison Board of Education.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dionna is committed to community service and youth development. In addition to her service on the Groveport Madison Board of Education, she volunteers as a youth basketball coach, mentoring young athletes and fostering teamwork, leadership, and personal growth. As a wife, mother of three, and community leader, she is passionate about building meaningful connections and supporting the growth and success of others.
