Disability Competence Training for all Healthcare Faculty

We are pleased to announce disability competence training for all healthcare faculty. 

The EMBED Competence training project seeks to establish baseline education on disability competence for medical and other health professional learners. This course provides faculty with the knowledge and curricular resources to embed the "Core Competencies on Disability for Health Care Education" into interdisciplinary health professional training programs.

Register for the online self-paced EMBED Competence training today. Registration is free and space is limited. Registrants will have access to the course until July 31, 2026.

• Ohioans with disabilities experience worse health outcomes compared to Ohioans without disabilities
• Ohioans with disabilities say that healthcare professional students need more training about disability
• Ohio healthcare professional students in the final years of their program say that they do not feel adequately prepared to work with patients with disabilities and want more training about disability

• Faculty and staff in any healthcare professional training program
• Anyone interested in learning about disability competence training
• Note: this training includes ASL interpretation for all videos
