Megan Allbright-Campos, MS, IMFT

Senior Researcher

Megan Allbright-Campos, MS, IMFT (she/her) serves as a Senior Researcher at the Government Resource Center (GRC) at Ohio State. She uses mixed methods and community engagement to understand and improve family well-being in child welfare, healthcare, and other systems of care. Megan’s research relies on community partnerships and community engagement. She has worked on projects engaging community advisory boards and community and state organizations as research partners to achieve common goals of systems change and family wellness. Through this approach, her collaborative research leads to rapid dissemination and application of results through briefs and presentations and immediate changes to implementation and intervention design.

Megan’s own research focuses specifically on families involved in or at risk of involvement with the child welfare system. She is particularly interested in maternal and infant health as it interacts with child welfare involvement and development of family-centered interventions that impact parent, child, and family outcomes. Her research questions draw from the lived experiences of families involved in child welfare and her clinical background as a licensed clinical therapist for youth in foster care.

Megan will receive her PhD in Social Work from The Ohio State University in May 2026. She received her M.S. in Child Development and Family Studies from Purdue University and her B.A. in Psychology from The Ohio State University. Megan has published research in peer-reviewed journals and has produced research briefs for community members and systems stakeholders. She has presented her research at statewide, national, and international conferences.
