GRC Staff Lead Reviewer Training for Medicaid Quality Programs

Last week, GRC staff members Athena Koumoutzis and Sharline Martin developed and led training sessions to prepare internal and external reviewers to conduct activity monitoring reviews of participating practices in the Comprehensive Primary Care (CPC), CPC for Kids, and Comprehensive Maternal Care (CMC) programs. These programs support population health goals of the Medicaid program and offer incentives to participating practices. Martin and Koumoutzis facilitated the CPC and CPC for Kids training, while Tina Bickert and Ashley Wilson led the CMC sessions.

With support from CPC and CMC team members, participants gained hands-on experience applying consistent review and scoring practices. ODM partners attended the training and shared positive feedback on the experience, highlighting the quality and value of the sessions. This collaborative effort strengthened GRC’s ability to support participating practices and advance Ohio's alternative payment program goals for improved health outcomes and reduced health care costs.
