Ohio Opportunity Index - Dashboard Enhancements

Opportunity Index and Children’s Opportunity Index data are consolidated into one dashboard.

A new ‘vertical’ layout accommodates those who use magnification and allows the page to scroll more like a general web page.
The color palette for the maps has more contrast to aid visibility and incorporates a “blue is better” color scale.
Via the three-line menu , users may “turn off” the background street map to heighten color contrast on the maps.
Each map page includes a text table with all data available via the map visualization.
Keyboard users may tab through tabs, filters, buttons, and visualizations in a more natural order.

In addition to the Census Tract, the dashboard includes maps with data aggregated to the county and zip code level.
Via the three-line menu, users may choose to see data grouped in quantiles or quintiles, in addition to the default of septiles.
Via the Download Data page, users may filter census tract data and download only the specific data of interest.
