Rachel Baker
Rachel joined the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) in June 2026 as a Senior Researcher in the Design, Implementation, and Evaluation section. She is currently involved in the OhioRISE project.
Before joining GRC, Rachel served as an Epidemiologist at the Ohio Department of Health, where she analyzed public health trends and supported outbreak response efforts across Ohio. Her experience includes work with the COVID-19 Wastewater Monitoring Network and the Outbreak Response and Bioterrorism Investigation Team. She also gained research experience at the University of Michigan through the Michigan Overdose Prevention Engagement Network, supporting initiatives focused on provider prescribing practices and reducing harm related to substance use.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of Dayton and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from The Ohio State University. A list of her publications is available here.
