Tom Albani joined the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center in May 2018. He currently is involved with several projects focused on Medicaid, including Group-VIII, the Ohio Medicaid Released Enrollees Study, and the Ohio Medicaid Assessment Survey. 


Before joining the GRC, Tom worked as an epidemiologist with Biostat Global Consulting. His work focused on the evaluation of vaccination campaigns conducted by the World Health Organization and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. 


Tom has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from John Carroll University, as well as a Master of Public Health degree from the Consortium of Eastern Ohio Master of Public Health program through Youngstown State University.  Tom’s PhD is in Epidemiology from OSU’s College of Public Health. His research focuses on lung cancer screening, issues in health service access, and geospatial analysis.
