Empowering Growth: The GRC Mentorship Program Builds Bonds and Expands Knowledge

When the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI-B) committee introduced the GRC Mentorship Program in March 2023, their aspirations were focused on guiding new GRC staff through the complexities of our organization. The concept was simple: match new employees with experienced colleagues to unveil the secrets of GRC's culture, intricacies, and operations.

Yet, as the program grew in both size and depth, its transformative prowess surged beyond expectations. Dan Shaw, Communication and Marketing Consultant, reflects on his mentor role,

Diverse in functions and roles, the GRC Mentorship program embraces over a dozen mentors, bridging gaps and generating insight across the spectrum. With eight pairs currently engaged and a constant surge in mentors, the program's vibrancy is undeniable.

Enter Bettina Hahn-Lawson, Senior Project Manager, and her mentor Shadia Jallaq, Senior Project Manager. Their initial camaraderie soon evolved into a profound professional kinship. Bettina praises, "The best part of the program is having a colleague and friend that I can reach out to.”
