Dushka Crane, PhD, LSSBB
Director of Behavioral Health

Dushka Crane, PhD, directs behavioral health and quality improvement programs at the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center, housed within The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Additionally, she holds a faculty position in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. 


Since she joined GRC in 2010, Dushka has been dedicated to collaborating with health systems, academic medical centers, and state health and human service agencies to elevate the quality of care and improve patient outcomes. Her portfolio includes substantial contributions to the enhancement of Ohio's behavioral health and child welfare systems. As a developmental psychologist with nearly 3 decades of experience, she brings considerable expertise regarding health services research, state and federal healthcare policies, and healthcare financing. 


Her previous leadership roles within OhioMHAS underscore her commitment to driving positive change in the healthcare landscape. She has served as a key consultant and content expert for various state initiatives aimed at implementing evidence-based treatment, integrating behavioral health and primary care, and expanding access to children's mental healthcare. Furthermore, she has designed evaluation frameworks and performance metrics for a diverse range of behavioral healthcare programs for the Ohio’s state health and human services agencies, NIH, and CMS. 


She is deeply committed to addressing social drivers of health and finds great pride and fulfillment in her service on the board of the Central Ohio Community Housing Network, where she also served as board chair in 2022 and 2023.
