Ohio SOS 3.0 Evaluation

Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) 'Heart of it all' logo

The State Opioid and Stimulant Response (SOS 3.0) grant supports funding for Ohio’s high-quality prevention, harm reduction, early intervention, treatment, and recovery supports to strengthen state and local efforts in connecting Ohioans with life-saving resources. It emphasizes service integration across healthcare sectors, along with criminal justice, housing, and child welfare.

With this federal award from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) supports continued funding of the state’s Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADAMH) boards, along with direct-funded community projects. OhioMHAS has also awarded funding to the Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) to support evaluation and training efforts.

GRC offers a variety of activities including a training program on the SAMHSA Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) tool, strategies to improve GPRA follow-up, web-hosted dashboard reporting, and a mixed-methods grant evaluation.
