Dr. Gretchen Turner joined GRC in 2024 and has worked for The Ohio State University continuously in fiscal and administrative roles since 2006. Gretchen currently serves as a Senior Business Operations Analyst on the GRC Finance Team, which is responsible for budgeting, proposal preparation, compliance, subcontracting, contract/agreement negotiations, progress reporting and closeout.
Prior to joining the GRC, she worked for two years at the Office of Sponsored Programs as a Sponsored Program Officer (SPO). She previously worked for twelve years at The Ohio State University’s Office of International Affairs (OIA) as an Education Abroad Program Manager and as the Assistant to the Associate Provost for Global Strategies and International Affairs. Prior to joining OIA, Gretchen served in Ohio State’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) on a sponsored project that recruited and retained college students from migrant farmworker families.
Gretchen holds a Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs, a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from the John Glenn College, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with a specialization in Latin American Studies, all from The Ohio State University. She has studied or worked abroad in Mexico, Cuba, and China. Her areas of expertise include the faculty and staff experience, students with disabilities, student substance use disorders and recovery, research administration, and university business operations / resource management.
