As the Marketing and Communications Manager, James brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. He has a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and a passion for improving access to quality healthcare services.
James assists in developing and implementing a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy for the Government Resource Center (GRC). In this role, he promotes and identifies speaking, presentation, and publication opportunities and serves as a project manager for communications programs.
He researches, analyzes, and collects key healthcare policy information to keep GRC staff updated on current local, state, and national trends.
Prior to joining the GRC, James served as the Marketing and Branding Manager for The Ohio State University College of Arts and Sciences Center for Career and Professional Success. In that role, he was responsible for internal branding and external communications to students, employers, and staff.
James brings more than 20 years of experience in both state government and a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), along with prior military service as a United States Army Public Affairs Officer. Additionally, James has considerable experience in higher education, having spent more than 10 years as an Adjunct Professor teaching both undergraduate and graduate coursework.
James earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio Dominican College and a graduate degree in Marketing and Communications from Franklin University. James is a published children’s book author and enjoys writing, cooking and spending time with his wife and son.
