Krystel Tossone, Ph.D., is a Research Analytics Consultant in the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center within the Program Design, Implementation, & Evaluation Section. Dr. Tossone is an expert in evaluation science mixed methods methodology and applied statistics in the intersecting fields of criminal justice health, substance use, behavioral health outcomes, and trauma exposure throughout the lifespan. Her analytical expertise is on longitudinal quasi-experimental and observational data analysis and psychometrics.
Dr. Tossone holds a Ph.D. in public health, specializing in prevention science, from Kent State University. Since graduating in 2015, Dr. Tossone has served as a principal investigator, lead statistician, and methodologist on dozens of federal, state, and local evaluation projects in her career. Dr. Tossone is currently serving on the State Opioid and Stimulant Response (SOS) Evaluation, Ohio Department of Medicaid Ohio Reslience through Integrated Systems and Excellence (OhioRISE) Evaluation, Integrated Care for Kids (InCK) Project, National Institute of Justice Overdose Response Study, and the Ohio Criminal Justice Services Mental Health Court Evaluation. Krystel has published in peer-reviewed journals such as Child Abuse and Neglect and Journal of Substance Abuse and Treatment.
