Michael Nau, PhD
Research Scientist

Michael Nau is the Health Services Research Manager at the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center. His research at the GRC centers on the implications of Medicaid expansion for new enrollees and the social determinants of infant mortality. 

Michael holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Ohio State University and has published independent research on a variety of topics, including debt, mental health, corporate governance, social movements, fertility, and economic inequality. Prior to attending graduate school, Michael worked as a caseworker for the Medicaid, TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), and SNAP (Food Stamps) programs.
