Dr. Nicole Schnitzler joined the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) in 2022 and currently serves as a Senior Research Analytics Specialist. Nikki's work focuses on statistical and survey methodology and includes the Ohio Pregnancy Assessment Survey (OPAS) and the Ohio Medicaid Assessment Survey (OMAS).
Prior to joining full-time, Nikki served as a Graduate Research Associate at the GRC while a doctoral candidate in the Department of Statistics at the Ohio State University. Her dissertation research focused on developing methods that enable researchers to combine information across a collection of studies in order to estimate the effect a treatment will cause in a particular population of interest. While OSU's Department of Statistics, Nikki earned department awards for her work as a teaching and research assistant.
Nikki received her BS in Business Administration (with a concentration in Economics) and Mathematics from Saint Louis University in 2017 and her MS in Statistics from the Ohio State University in 2019. She earned her PhD in Statistics from the Ohio State University in 2023. Her research interests include study generalizability, survey sampling, meta-analysis, and causal inference.
