Senior Project Manager

Shadia Jallaq serves as senior project manager at the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center. She manages a portfolio of quality improvement (QI) and mixed method evaluation projects. Shadia is an experienced QI coach and certified Project Management Professional (PMP). She is passionate about building community and developing individuals through education and empowerment. As an experienced project initiator, Shadia managed the design of the Healthy Mom, Healthy Family QI project, recognized as an emerging practice by Association of Maternal Child Health Programs (AMCHP), that seeks to improve interconception care for women in Ohio. 

She established the Programs for Ohio Women Empowered to Represent (POWER) to educate, empower and encourage Ohio women to run for political office and lead their communities as well as the Ohio Registered Election Official Certification program, which provides a 2-year educational path to certification as an Ohio Election Official. She was awarded the Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award from The Ohio State University for her work on POWER. Shadia has authored and presented works on maternal and child health and quality improvement in JAMIA Open and at CityMatCH Maternal and Child Health Leadership Conference, National Maternal Health Innovation Symposium, March of Dimes Mom and Baby Action Network Summit, and National Women’s Studies Association Annual Conference. 

She is a proud two-time alumna of The Ohio State University, graduating cum laude with Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies and with a Master of Arts in Educational Studies with a specialization in Adult Education and Human Resource Development.
