Many times, pediatricians or family physicians are the first health professional to address a child’s mental health concerns. The Behavioral Health Clinical Advisory Panel (BH CAP) is a collective of experts and community leaders that aims to support primary care providers and empower families through access to educational modules and shared decision-making tools when a child needs behavioral health support.
With the support of the Ohio Department of Medicaid, the team has developed access to continuing education, behavioral health learning modules, medication guides, and tools that can be used during a visit to support youth-centered decision making and resilience building.
Prescribers, parents, and schools can visit the Ohio Minds Matter website for more information and resources.
