Medicaid Outcomes Distributed Research Network (MODRN) Examining Quality Improvement for Medicaid Programs (EQUIP)

The Medicaid Outcomes Distributed Research Network (MODRN) Examining Quality Improvement for Medicaid Programs (EQUIP) is a collaborative initiative that strives to "improve quality measurement for opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment using a multi-state Medicaid research network.” MODRN EQUIP focuses on incorporating patient experience when creating provider-level quality measures.  This quality improvement collaborative is focused on specific, measurable, action-oriented, realistic, and timely (SMART) aims that are directly linked to improved treatment outcomes.

Through MODRN EQUIP, GRC developed and facilitates the Behavioral Health Treatment Engagement and Retention (BHTER) learning collaborative in Ohio with the global objective of enhancing the quality of care and outcomes for patients with OUD.

Developed by the State-University Partnership Learning Network (SUPLN) in conjunction with the Medicaid Medical Director Network (MMDN), the effort is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) under the Helping to End Addiction Long-term (HEAL) Initiative.
